What we believe

Doctrinal Statement

The Doctrinal Statement below presents the beliefs that guide The Continuous Flame's ministry and teaching.

Scripture

We believe in the full inspiration and complete authority of the Holy Scriptures—both the Old and New Testaments—as the inerrant, infallible, and sufficient Word of God.

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who are co-equal and united in one divine essence.

The Person of Christ

We believe in the full deity and true humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, sinless in life, and perfect in obedience. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man, the sole intercessor, and the only way of salvation.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all who believe in Christ, empowering them for godliness, sanctifying them in truth, and sealing them for the day of redemption.

The Doctrine of Man

We believe that all humanity is fallen, inherently sinful, and utterly incapable of saving itself apart from divine grace.

The Doctrine of Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, securing redemption through His shed blood and bodily resurrection from the dead. We believe that sinners are justified by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, apart from any works of righteousness.

The Second Coming

We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead.

The Final Judgment

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people—eternal life for those who are in Christ, and eternal death for those who reject Him.
